Seeking Wisdom

Seeking Wisdom

James 1:5-6 says “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you.  He will not rebuke you for asking.  But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone.  Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.

As we seek to align our lives with the will of God, we are constantly seeking wisdom from God to guide us through our daily lives.  Whether it be family, Church, Community involvement or work, if we can align our plans with the will of God in our lives, we will see those plans succeed.  Proverbs 16:3 reads “Commit your actions to the Lord and your plans will succeed”.

One of the keys to the verse in James is that we must have the faith that God will answer our prayers and not be wavered.  We know that God will bless us in HIS time, and even if the prayers aren’t answered right away, we must continue to place our faith in God.  So many times when we get impatient waiting on God’s wisdom and answer to our prayers, it is easy to put our faith elsewhere and not at the throne of God.

I love to lift each of you up in prayer, if there is anything that you need prayer for, please let me know.  I am so thankful for the prayer and support you give me, it is felt each and everyday.

I would like you to specifically pray for FCA Spring Conference, coming up at the end of March.  As we speak, Huddle Coaches are getting student/athletes registered, Rock Springs Ranch is preparing the grounds, FCA Staff and Volunteers are praying and preparing for the arrival of Coaches and Athletes.  I would ask you if you please pray for the hearts of the athletes and coaches that will be in attendance.

In HIS Service,
Kevin Wade
