Shine Your Light
I had an amazing Father’s Day yesterday. I am such a blessed man with 6 great kids that I love very much. The only thing missing from my Father’s Day yesterday, was my father. My dad passed away almost 11 years ago. I miss him so much.
I saw a quote on social media this weekend that really summed up my dad’s life in my eyes. It said, “My father didn’t tell me how to live; he lived and let me watch him do it.” My dad was a very strong Christian man. He put God first and lived his life in a way that others knew he was a Godly man. He was very giving, many times stopping what he was doing to help others. He loved our mom and took care of her until the day he died. He loved us kids and was there for every game, every program, and every other thing we did. He loved his church and was a very active member of Humboldt FBC. My dad showed me how, just by simply living his life the right way! And he made an impact on many people around him.
Who’s watching you? What are you showing others in the way you are living your life? What impact are you making on those around you?
Everything! Everyday! Every way! People will see God in you. Shine your light and make a difference in this world. I love you dad. Thanks for setting my path and showing me the way.
Have a blessed week!
